About the role:
Our client is seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of sales representative to join their team. This individual must be able to sell the company’s products and services and manage relationships with all customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Generation:
- Actively prospect and generate new leads to expand the customer base.
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Present product offerings and services to potential customers, highlighting their benefits and value propositions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our product portfolio and stay updated on industry trends and competitors.
Account Management:
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with existing customers, serving as their main point of contact.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular account reviews to identify customer needs, upselling opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as technical support and operations, to coordinate the delivery of services and address customer requirements.
- Develop account plans and strategies to maximize revenue growth and retention.
Sales Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, sales activities, and account information in the CRM system.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to track performance and provide insights to management.
- Assist in the development of sales and marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, and product catalogs.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate, bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the heavy equipment industry or related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, small team environment.
- Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment, spare parts, and service is a plus.
Compensation:
The incumbent will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
